The band Darcasis was born from the remains of a previous band called Bloodlust at the end of the year 2002 in Juva, Finland. In the beginning there were five members: MasterYuppi, Ksahn, Rotth, Baal and Grand Mandolin joined the band as a new member. The band decided to play dark horror metal with some melodies included.

First songs were made at the beginning of the year 2003 and band decided to record a Promo CD. It was recorded in Polytechnic school of Virrat in May 2003 with a big help of our friend Ville Putkinen who studied there.

At the end of the year 2003 a new member Argoth (previous Bloodlust guitarist) joined the band. It was a great leap forward and band made and rehearsed new songs. The reviews of the Promo 2003 were fine but there was mentioned also that the songs and the style was too ordinary. In 2004 band rehearsed and made songs for the incoming full length album. The style changed and songs became more and more complicated. Also melodies and song structures varies much more than in first songs. The song themes are about world of fiction, fantasies, horror and darkness. Also medieval thoughts and scenes are very much present. New and old Finnish language comes out in few songs and parts of the songs but mainly lyrics are in English.

In August 2005 band started to record the full length album. Album consists of 9 songs including the promo songs re-recorded. It was released for free at Mikseri.net in 2006.

Later in 2006 Baal quit his career in Darcasis and Achernar took over the battery!

In april 2007 new songs had been composed and rehearsed. Band decided to record four new songs. Once again songs were recorded and mixed by Ville Putkinen.

In autumn 2007 the band decided to continue only with one guitarist. Argoth left his place in band...

The year 2008 began with new guitarist..
